An autopsy was performed on the body of the unfortunate infant who “passed away” in Limassol, with medical examiners collecting samples for further testing.
The autopsy was performed by medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou, who collected samples to be sent for laboratory, histopathological, virological, toxicological, and genetic testing.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday evening when the 32-year-old mother of the infant, who was in his crib, discovered that he was unresponsive.
He was immediately taken to a private hospital, where the doctors on duty pronounced him dead, and the police were notified.

The infant had no external injuries, nor did he appear to have any health issues, according to evidence gathered by the authorities, who are currently investigating the case as an unnatural or sudden death.
