A 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday afternoon pursuant to a court warrant and taken into custody to facilitate the investigation into an ongoing case involving theft by agents, money laundering, and violations of the Betting Law.
Specifically, 18 individuals filed a complaint with the police alleging that, between June 15, 2025, and April 1, 2026, the 25-year-old obtained from them a sum exceeding €500,000 for investments in cryptocurrencies.

The 25-year-old appeared in court today, where a seven-day detention order was issued.
The Financial Crime Investigation Unit of the Nicosia CID is continuing its investigation.
