The first presentation of the DIGIPOL Portal took place today at the Traffic Education Park. This is a digital portal whose main objective is to improve and streamline procedures through automated and digitized services.
Through the GOV.CY portal, #DigiPol provides access to more than 30 police services, such as issuing criminal record certificates, providing police reports, and filing a report for a lost ID card.
Through Digipol, the Police are modernizing services and internal procedures, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and citizen service.”
The presentation was attended by the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy, the Deputy Chief of Police, as well as the Police’s partners in the project’s implementation – The University of Cyprus Research Center for Research and Innovation (KOIOS), the contractor selected through an open tender (NETU), and other entities from collaborating ministries and agencies of the Republic.
This project is overseen by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digital Policy and is funded by the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility under the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan.
All services to be included in the DigiPol digital portal will be gradually made available to the public from mid-May through mid-June, offering easy and fully digitized service. Citizens are encouraged to try submitting their requests through the Police’s DIGIPOL digital platform.
