Drivers will soon be able to check their penalty points online, a service that has not been available to the public until now.
According to Sergeant Tassos Asiekkis, a dedicated website is being developed through the government’s CY Login portal (formerly Ariadne), which is currently undergoing testing.
According to estimates by the responsible department, the Information Technology Department, the system is expected to go live in September or October.
Currently, citizens can check their penalty points by visiting a police station and presenting their ID.
Please note that as of February 1, 2025, the penalty points required for the temporary suspension of a driver’s license will change, and each penalty point imposed will be expunged two years after it is imposed.
