Seasonal low pressure and an unstable air mass are affecting the island.
Today, there will initially be increased low-level cloud cover, while after noon, clouds developing in the mountains, inland, and in eastern areas are expected to bring localized rain and isolated thunderstorms. Hail is expected during thunderstorms. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and along the coast in the afternoon, they will be temporarily strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will reach around 37 degrees inland, around 30 on the western coast, 34 on the rest of the coast, and around 28 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, there will be locally increased cloud cover, which may gradually lead to isolated showers in the west. Later, during the early morning hours, patchy fog may form locally, mainly in the southeast and inland. Winds will be light, blowing from the northwest to the northeast at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be slightly choppy. Temperatures will drop to around 23 degrees in inland areas and along the coast, and to around 16 degrees in the higher mountainous regions.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, increased cloud cover after noon is expected to bring local showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and the eastern half of the island. Hail is expected during thunderstorms.
Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Wednesday, remaining slightly below average.
