From the beginning of 2026 to date, a total of 4,021 people have been repatriated—or deported—from the Republic of Cyprus, according to the police.

According to a post by the Police today, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service (YAM) recently participated in a joint forced return operation organized by FRONTEX, during which third-country nationals residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus were repatriated—deported.
As reported, this marks the 10th time the Cyprus Police has participated in joint FRONTEX return operations in 2026, which confirms “the ongoing cooperation with European institutions for the effective management of irregular migration.”
