It was around 3:30 a.m. when the perpetrators used a large brick to smash the pharmacy’s door.
During the night, burglars struck another pharmacy in the area and a fruit stand in Agia Varvara.
According to footage obtained by Alpha TV’s camera, the perpetrators carried out the break-ins at both pharmacies in the same manner.
“Over the past month, we’ve seen a number of robberies, mainly at pharmacies and bakeries; the perpetrators operate in the same way: two people arrive on a motorcycle, throw a rock at the window, shatter it, rush inside, grab the cash register, and flee.”

Inadequate Policing
Mayor Stavros Hatzigiannis emphasizes the need to strengthen policing and expresses the local community’s deep outrage and concern.
“Clearly, it’s the same group; it’s a crime ring that needs to be dealt with. We can’t just have business owners counting their damages and losses every weekend. We’re talking about a very important station; 180 square kilometers of land are patrolled at night by just a few people.”
