Two vehicles parked outside a residence in Limassol were engulfed in flames in the early morning hours.
It was around 2:20 a.m. when the police received a report of a fire involving two vehicles.
Police and Fire Department personnel rushed to the scene, managed to extinguish the fire, and then secured the area.
Investigations revealed that the fire was set deliberately.
The two vehicles belong to a 49-year-old woman and were parked outside her home at the time of the incident.
The investigation continued into the morning, with police officers collecting a number of pieces of evidence, which are expected to be evaluated as part of the investigation.
Shortly before that, authorities were called to a vehicle fire in Trachoni.
Specifically, authorities responded to a fire involving vehicles near the community council. The vehicles sustained extensive damage from the fire, while a third vehicle was also affected. Investigations determined that this was an act of arson. Evidence was collected from the scene and sent for analysis.
