A dramatic appeal to stop spreading rumors and information about the double tragedy that “unfolded” last Sunday at noon in Xylofagou with the deaths of the two brothers, 8-year-old Yanislav and 10-year-old Georgi, has been issued by the partner of the unfortunate children’s father.

The 38-year-old spoke to a Bulgarian television station and claimed that she and the father were arrested by the British Decelia Bases, as part of standard procedure for such cases.
“I was released because I’m not to blame. No one is to blame. We were held until the end of the investigation. The father remained in custody because he is the children’s guardian. He remained in custody until the end of the investigation and the decision to transfer the children back to Bulgaria.”

She expressed her hope that no one would ever have to go through what she and her partner’s family are going through, noting that “no one is to blame” for the children’s tragic death inside their father’s fateful car.
“Stop talking nonsense, claiming that the landlord, or the stepmother, the grandmother, the grandfather, the father, and so on, are to blame. Don’t play with people’s pain. May God protect us—I wouldn’t wish this on anyone—may God spare you from ever facing such a tragedy. Stop it; God is watching. Stop pointing fingers at people.”
