School is our shared responsibility, and we support the important work of our teachers and the partnership between school and family, always keeping the child at the center, says Minister of Education Athina Michailidou in a post on X, marking the start of the school year for preschool and elementary education.
The Minister of Education notes that any differing approaches to handling issues are part of the constructive dialogue among all stakeholders and should not be taken out on the children.

It wishes everyone a good start and extends a special greeting to the first-graders taking their first big step into elementary school.
“Enjoy school, children; learn new things and savor every new experience. Your teachers, your families, and all of us are here for you. To support you and take pride in you,” states the Ministry of Education.
