A technical failure at Dekelia early this morning resulted in the shedding of load in various areas of Cyprus, according to the Cyprus Transmission System Operator (CTSO).

Specifically, the CTSO stated in an announcement that the technical failure occurred at 06:50 and resulted in the loss of the AT/S 4 at the Dekelia Power Plant, which was operating at 51 MW, resulting in the shedding of consumer load in various areas of Cyprus.

“Continuous efforts are being made to restore power as soon as possible,” he adds.
