A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region.

Today, the weather will be generally clear, though increased cloud cover will gradually develop locally, possibly leading to isolated showers in mountainous areas after noon. Winds will initially be offshore and locally variable, light, 3 Beaufort, before gradually shifting to mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and along the coast in the afternoon, moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough, and temporarily slightly rough in the afternoon on the windward side. Temperatures will reach around 40 degrees inland, around 32 on the western and southwestern coasts, around 34 degrees along the rest of the coast, and around 29 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

Tonight, the weather will remain generally clear, while later on there will be increased low cloud cover, mainly along the coast. Later on and during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is likely to form locally, mainly in areas to the south and east. Winds will gradually become light, blowing from the downwind direction at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 24 degrees inland and along the coast, and to around 20 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with occasional increased cloud cover; however, clouds developing in the mountains after noon are expected to bring isolated showers or even thunderstorms.

Temperatures are not expected to change significantly through Monday, remaining above normal for this time of year.
