The potential for utilizing modern technological tools and digital media, with the aim of improving communication, information sharing, and cooperation between the relevant agencies and residents, for the benefit of the local community, as discussed by the Municipality of Larnaca and the Larnaca Community Police during a meeting held yesterday, Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by the Municipality, the working meeting was attended by Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras, the Municipal Secretary, the Chief Coordinator of the Neighborhood Watch Program, Neighborhood Police Officers, and a volunteer from the program.
During the meeting, it was noted, issues were discussed regarding the further strengthening of the Neighborhood Watch Program, as well as ongoing cooperation between the Municipality, the Police, and residents to enhance prevention, timely information sharing, and safety in the neighborhoods of Larnaca.
At the same time, “there was an exchange of views on the potential for utilizing modern technological tools and digital media, with the aim of improving communication, information sharing, and cooperation between the relevant departments and residents, for the benefit of the local community.”
According to the announcement, Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras “reiterated the importance of close cooperation among all stakeholders, noting that the continuous exchange of views, coordination, and the use of modern tools can contribute significantly to improving services for residents and strengthening the sense of security.”
