The Cyprus Electricity Authority informs the public that on Friday, July 10, 2026, in the morning, specifically between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., a scheduled unmanned aircraft flight will take place in the Kapsalos area of the Limassol Municipality, on Kostis Palamas and Ioannis Chrysostomou Streets.

The flight will be conducted in cooperation with the Limassol Municipality, as part of a technical study by the Cyprus Electricity Authority (AHK) to map the existing power grid and plan its expansion in the area.

The flight will be conducted at a suitable and safe altitude, in accordance with the applicable legislative, regulatory, and operational requirements governing the use of unmanned aircraft, including Regulation (EU) 2019/947, as well as the relevant requirements of the competent Civil Aviation Authority.

During the flight, photographs and videos may be taken exclusively for the purposes of this specific technical study. All data collected will be used exclusively for the above purpose and will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (including data masking) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as applicable national legislation on personal data protection.
