A traffic accident occurred fifty minutes past midnight today on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, resulting in the injury of a 27-year-old woman and the arrest of a 23-year-old man.
Specifically, a car driven by the 23-year-old, upon reaching the intersection of Marinos Geroulanou and Georgios Averof Streets, under circumstances that are under investigation, collided with a car driven by the 27-year-old woman, which had a 62-year-old woman and a 14-year-old boy as passengers.
As a result of the collision, the 27-year-old was injured and taken to the hospital, where she was found to have suffered a broken arm and was admitted for treatment. The 62-year-old woman and the 14-year-old boy, who sustained minor injuries, received first aid and were discharged.
The 23-year-old underwent a breathalyzer test, which showed a final reading of 75 μg instead of the legal limit of 22 μg, resulting in his arrest.
The Limassol Traffic Police are continuing their investigation.
