The police are investigating a case of aggravated assault that occurred this morning in Limassol.
According to the evidence being investigated, at around 10 a.m. today, while a 24-year-old man was working at a construction site under construction in Zakaki, he got into an argument with two individuals, aged 20 and 22, who had arrived at the scene. During the incident, the 22-year-old allegedly attacked and injured the 24-year-old—who, according to reports, was his former employer—with a knife. The two suspects then fled the scene.
The injured man was taken to Limassol General Hospital by his friends, where he was found to have superficial wounds to his abdomen and lower limbs. In addition, it was determined that he had suffered an arterial injury to his left knee. He was subsequently transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for further treatment. His condition is described by the attending physicians as out of danger. The Limassol CID is continuing its investigation.
