As Mr. Kettis explained, the drivers were not in danger from the fire since they managed to get out of the burning cars.
When asked about the causes of the fire, he noted that the reasons range from fuel coming into contact with metal due to the accident, to electrical problems and mechanical failures.
“It is mandatory for our vehicle to have a fire extinguisher, which, if we can use it in the early stages of a fire, may be able to contain it.”
As Mr. Kettis emphasized, it is also important to check whether the fire extinguisher is in working order at all times.
