The British Bases Police has issued an appeal to anyone who may have information regarding the fatal accident that occurred on September 2, 2026, on the westbound lanes of the Limassol-Paphos highway, approximately one kilometer past the tunnel toward Paphos, in which a 76-year-old man lost his life.
The fatal accident, it should be noted, occurred in the early morning hours at the Episkopi exit just past the tunnel, when the unfortunate elderly man, who was in a vehicle with his grandson transporting a refrigerator, which fell onto the road, causing the 76-year-old to get out and attempt to move it. At that moment, a passing vehicle struck him, fatally injuring him.
The Base Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or may have any information that could help investigators determine the circumstancesunder which the incident occurred to contact them as soon as possible at 1443 or 25967227.
