Grandmother Ellada Pavlou from Limassol is celebrating her 100th birthday today, and she marked the occasion in style with her children, grandchildren, and friends at the senior living facility where she resides in Nicosia.
Mrs. Pavlou wished health and happiness to the whole world and to her family, which consists of two children, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She even offered advice on love, patience, and perseverance in the face of life’s “hardships” and difficulties, which she herself faced with a smile and “purity.”
As she mentioned on the Alpha News program to journalist Olga Konstantinou, the secret to a long life is to care for and empathize with your fellow human beings, though she admitted that she has not yet managed to fulfill her desire to write her autobiography.
She admits that reading is her great passion, and she renewed her promise to viewers to return next year, when she will turn 101!
