Incidents broke out at the port of Kyrenia, where relatives of those missing from the catamaran tragedy—which claimed the lives of at least eight people—were gathered.
Tensions flared when the Turkish “ambassador” to the pseudo-state arrived and attempted to enter the illegal military base at the site, while the relatives were enraged and attacked his vehicle.
The “police” and the occupying army immediately intervened, dispersing the relatives.
A few minutes later, the Turkish Cypriot leader arrived at the port, where his relatives booed him.
