A 16-year-old who was wanted in connection with an ongoing investigation into violence at sports venues has been located. The case concerns violent incidents that took place in the area of the AEK Arena, in Larnaca, during the soccer match between AEK Larnaca and Beitar Jerusalem on July 23, 2026.
Photographs of a number of individuals sought by the police, including a photograph of the 16-year-old, whose identity remained unknown, were released to the public by the Police on July 28, 2026, with the aim of gathering information that could lead to their identification or location, (Police Announcement Regarding Wanted Persons, dated July 28, 2026, relevant).

The 16-year-old voluntarily presented himself at the Larnaca CID offices, where he was questioned and released upon completion of the police investigation. Now that he has been located, there is no longer a need to continue publishing his photograph.
