As part of the activities of the Aliens and Immigration Service (F.I.A.) to locate and apprehend individuals residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, an operation was carried out today in the district of Larnaca.
During the operation, a total of 48 third-country nationals who were residing illegally in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus were located and arrested.
Fourteen individuals have already been deported—repatriated—while the remaining 34 were transferred to a reception center, where it is expected, in cooperation with the Deputy Ministry of Migration and International Cooperation, the procedures for their repatriation to their countries of origin will be set in motion.
