A seasonal low-pressure system is currently affecting the region, and a weather disturbance is expected to affect the island on Thursday and Friday.
Today, the weather will initially be mostly clear, however, locally increased cloud cover around noon and in the early afternoon is expected to bring isolated showers, with the possibility of brief, isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains. Winds will initially be variable and light, at 3 Beaufort, before gradually shifting to mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily locally along the southern coast up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will reach 36 degrees inland, 31 on the western coast, around 33 on the rest of the coast, and 28 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear. Winds will be mainly light from the northwest to northeast, with occasional local gusts up to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 19 degrees inland, around 22 degrees along the coast, and around 18 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy, with isolated showers and thunderstorms expected in the afternoon, mainly in the mountains and inland. Hail is possible during thunderstorms. In the evening, intermittent local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly in the western half of the island. Light dust may be present in the air. On Friday, the weather will be partly cloudy and locally mostly cloudy, with intermittent local showers and isolated thunderstorms expected. On Saturday, there will be increased cloud cover in some areas, which is expected to bring isolated showers around noon and in the early afternoon, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains.
Temperatures will gradually drop noticeably through Friday, falling below average seasonal values, while on Saturday they will rise slightly.
