Alpha Cyprus correspondent Erika Kavazi, covering the city and district of Limassol, reported on the “Alpha News” program that authorities have determined that the illegal substances, which were concealed inpaint cans arrived in Cyprus inside shipping containers from Germany at the port of Limassol. Initially, the police had information that the drugs were transported via Israel on private boats and yachts to the marinas in Larnaca and Limassol, a claim that has not yet been confirmed.

At the same time, police investigations suggest that Cyprus served as a transit point for the large quantity of drugs, which is a key ingredient in “pink cocaine.” In fact, it cannot be ruled out that Israel was the final destination, while some quantities may have remained in Cyprus.
