According to reports in the Turkish Cypriot media, the “police investigator” testified today in “court” that the suspect stabbed him 30 times—5 of which were fatal—because she believed he was going to steal her belongings. After committing the murder, she turned herself in to the “police.”
The suspect gave two voluntary statements containing her confession, and 20 statements were taken as part of the investigation, which is ongoing; for this reason, the “police” requested and obtained a warrant for an additional 8 days of detention.
