Timeline of the case
Two men, aged 20 and 22, are wanted under court warrants, as part of an investigation into the stabbing of a 24-year-old man that occurred on Friday morning at a building under construction in the Zakaki area.
According to a statement by the head of the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department, Lefteris Kyriakou, the 24-year-old, who is currently hospitalized, is out of danger. As Mr. Kyriakou noted, the 24-year-old has superficial wounds to his abdomen and legs and is expected to undergo a medical evaluation by an orthopedic surgeon.
According to information currently under investigation, around 10 a.m. today, while the 24-year-old was working at a construction site under construction in Zakaki, he got into an argument with two individuals, aged 20 and 22, who had arrived at the scene. During the incident, the 22-year-old allegedly attacked and injured the 24-year-old—who, according to reports, was his former employer—with a knife. The two suspects then fled the scene.
The injured man was taken to Limassol General Hospital by his friends, where it was determined that he had superficial wounds to his abdomen and lower limbs. In addition, it was determined that he had suffered an arterial laceration in his left knee. He was subsequently transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for further treatment. His condition is described by the attending physicians as out of danger. The Limassol Traffic Accident Investigation Unit is continuing its investigation.
