The YKAN uncovered a cannabis cultivation lab yesterday in Limassol. A 38-year-old man was arrested to facilitate the investigation, and a quantity of cannabis and cannabis plants were seized.

Specifically, YKAN officers conducted a search yesterday at the 38-year-old’s residence in Limassol, based on a court warrant obtained following an evaluation of intelligence.

During the search, it was determined that a specific area of the residence had been converted into a modern indoor greenhouse for growing cannabis plants. Among other evidence seized from the residence were a quantity of cannabis with a total gross weight of 544 grams, 12 cannabis plants, and cannabis seeds.

The 38-year-old was arrested and taken into custody; he is expected to appear before the Limassol District Court today for a detention order to be issued.

The Limassol Narcotics Unit is continuing its investigation.
