The large fire that broke out at a factory in the Aradippou Industrial Area has been contained within the factory premises, while adjacent properties and factories have been and continue to be protected.
According to the Fire Department, there is an active fire front on the western side of the factory, and efforts are underway to extinguish it.
According to an update from the Fire Department, a headcount was conducted of the staff at the burning factory in the Aradippou industrial area, and according to witness accounts, all employees had evacuated the premises by the time the fire broke out.
Four members of the Fire Department received medical treatment for heat exhaustion, smoke inhalation, or dizziness.

The Larnaca District Fire Station Chief, Mr. Andreas Kettis, has been on site since the early stages of the fire to coordinate the firefighting operation.
Meanwhile, the Chief Fire Officer is at the Crisis Management Center of the Fire Service Headquarters to maintain direct contact and oversee the overall coordination of the operation.
A forward command post was set up at the fire site by the Fire Department Headquarters, while the Ambulance Service and the Labor Inspection Department were called in to dispatch officials.
