In the presence of the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, a ceremony was held late Monday afternoon to rename Argyroupoleos Avenue as Dimitris Christofias Avenue.
It should be noted that Argyroupoleos Avenue in Strovolos, which was renamed Dimitris Christofias Avenue, was opened to traffic on June 4 and connects the GSP area with Tseriou Avenue.

Speaking at the ceremony, the wife of the late President, Elsi Christofia, noted that the renaming of the avenue is a special honor.
As she noted, today’s ceremony took place just a few days after the seventh annual memorial service for him and is the best way to pay tribute to the memory of Dimitris Christofias, who, as she added, gave his very best for Cyprus and its people.
