Fidias Panagiotou, Member of the European Parliament and leader of Direct Democracy, sparked strong reactions on social media—this time because of his choice of attire.
Mr. Panagiotou attended the event commemorating and honoring the 30th anniversary of the sacrifice of heroes Tassos Isaac and Solomos Solomos, in Paralimni, appearing in white shorts and athletic socks.

In fact, his appearance alongside the President of the Republic, the Speaker of the House, and other officials sparked a variety of comments on social media.
Several users criticized his choice, describing it as disrespectful to the solemnity of the event and, in some cases, even to the memory of the two heroes.
