Tension flared in Larnaca following a violent clash between individuals of Syrian origin on Wednesday night.

As the footage below shows, during the clash, the participants used a crowbar, a sledgehammer, a level, and a bolt cutter, and they attempted to run over members of the opposing group with a vehicle. The vehicle crashed into a residential storage shed, knocking down signs in the process, and narrowly missed colliding with the house itself.

The individuals in the vehicle immediately fled the scene, but left behind personal belongings, such as two cell phones and a small bag.

A large police force rushed to the scene.
