The fire that broke out earlier in dry grass and wild vegetation between the communities of Anaya and Klirou, in the Nicosia district, has been brought under control.
According to Fire Department Spokesperson Andreas Kettis, the fire burned 1.5 hectares of wild vegetation and scattered pine trees.

Three fully staffed fire trucks from the Fire Service, five fire trucks from the Forestry Department, one vehicle from the Game and Wildlife Service, and two volunteer teams (SupportCy & Atlas).
The fire is being fully contained, and final extinguishing operations are underway.
