The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department is investigating a case involving the killing of an animal, as well as the offenses of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor and a felony, the illegal possession and transportation of a firearm and explosives, as well as firing a gun in a residential area, is being investigated by the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department.
Specifically, on Sunday, October 4, 2026, a 56-year-old man reported to the police that he had found his cat dead a short distance from his home. Members of the Animal Unit and the Paphos Central Police Station went to the scene that same day to conduct an investigation.
A postmortem examination was performed on the animal yesterday, during which it was determined that it had 13 bullet pellets in its body.
As part of the investigation into the case, a court arrest warrant was issued for an 18-year-old. The suspect was arrested yesterday, and during a search of his home, a number of pieces of evidence were found and seized.
