Police are investigating the circumstances and cause of death of a three-and-a-half-year-old boy yesterday afternoon in Nicosia. As part of the investigation into the case, the child’s parents—a man and a woman aged 32 and 33, respectively—were arrested.
Specifically, at around 6:15 p.m. yesterday, the child, aged three years and nine months, was found injured on the ground floor of an apartment building in Nicosia. Police officers arrived at the scene, along with an ambulance crew that transported the child to Nicosia General Hospital, where he passed away around 6:50 p.m.
According to evidence currently under investigation, while the child was in the apartment where he lives with his parents, on the 6th floor of an apartment building in Nicosia, under circumstances that are under investigation, he reportedly fell to the ground floor of the building.
As part of the investigation into the case, arrest warrants were issued for the child’s two parents. They were arrested and taken into custody for police questioning. The Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the case.
