About a month ago, as we were preparing a report on campgrounds in Cyprus, we documented the scene of decline and decay, as well as the public outcry over the fact that, of the five campsites located within state-owned forests, only the one at Stavros tis Psokas is currently operating. However, given the statements made by the authorities, there was optimism that the situation would change in the near future and that the gates—at least at Kambi tou Kalogirou and Troodos—would open to the public.
