Most of the storm-related power outages occurred in the capital, with many areas of Nicosia remaining in the dark, and it is not yet known exactly when power will be restored.
EAC crews are on the scene to repair the damage, and workers from other districts are assisting with the repairs due to the severity of the situation.
It should be noted that by noon on Saturday alone, forty medium-voltage outages had been reported, with most affecting areas of Nicosia.
