The security situation in the Republic of Cyprus and the security challenges emerging in the region were discussed, among other things, the Commander of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Emmanouil Theodorou, and the Chief of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, General Dimitrios Houpis.
According to the General Staff of the National Guard, during the meeting, which took place at the General Staff Headquarters in Nicosia, the two Chiefs discussed issues of mutual interest, with an emphasis on the security situation in the Republic of Cyprus, current international and regional developments, bilateral military cooperation between Cyprus and Greece, and emerging security challenges in the region.
