The Alpha Kalimera show presented the actual numbers of schools that have air conditioners with a certificate of compliance. These figures stand in stark contrast to those presented by the Ministry of Education and are also confirmed by the findings of the Audit Office.
As shown by the data obtained and presented by the program, air conditioners have been installed and hold a certificate of suitability in only 88 schools, out of the approximately 520 schools where they are scheduled to be installed.

Larnaca District: 25 schools
Paphos District: 8 schools
Limassol District: 16 schools
Famagusta District: 13 schools
It should be noted that during the program’s investigation in July 2026, the Ministry of Education had provided figures for air conditioning units that are operational or currently being installed, as shown in the left column of the tables below. These figures contrast with the figures provided by the Ministry of Education at its September press conference.
