Investigators are closely examining the case of an armed robbery at a mansion in Limassol, with new revelations coming to light regarding the suspects’ modus operandi. The five suspects who were arrested appeared in court, while authorities continue their investigation to locate two additional individuals.

Speaking on the program “Alpha News,” the station’s correspondent, Erica Kavazi, reported that the five suspects are currently appearing in court.

The police tracked down the suspects by evaluating witness statements and footage from security cameras in the area, which appear to show a specific red vehicle driving around the area where the mansion is located.

According to information from Alpha, security cameras at neighboring properties recorded the moment the suspects stopped at a kiosk and bought duct tape.

Initially, four people had entered the house, then left the house after carrying out an initial break-in without, however, being noticed by the occupants, who were asleep.

Subsequently, five individuals returned to the house, and the events that unfolded included gagging the couple and stealing a large sum of money and jewelry.

As noted, one of the five suspects appears to be cooperating with police authorities and has even provided information.

According to information obtained by investigators, the suspects knew that valuables were kept at the mansion in question. In fact, one of the five suspects stated that he had suspicions about the actions of the other individuals arrested with him, as he claimed he knows that they stole aluminum doors and windows from various homes.

In connection with this case, authorities are still searching for two other individuals, while seeking additional witness statements.

The Limassol District Court ordered the suspects to be held in custody for eight days.

It should be noted that the individual cooperating with the authorities does not claim to be a member of the organization. However, he stated that these are events he personally heard about, and that he had seen them wearing black clothing in preparation for the robbery.

According to the same reports, there is an individual who appears to have acted as a fence.
