Anna Aristotelous’s attorney, Christos M. Triantafyllidis, citing the recent decision by the Administrative Court that annulled her suspension.
In a letter dated July 2, 2026, addressed to the Council of Ministers through its Secretary, Mr. Triantafyllidis states that, by a decision of the Court on June 17, 2026, the decision placing his client on administrative leave as of December 5, 2025, was overturned.
As he notes, Ms. Aristotelous had accepted her appointment to the position of General Director effective December 1, 2025, however, to date, she has not been assigned to a permanent position to carry out the duties stipulated in the relevant Service Plan. For this reason, she calls on the Council of Ministers, in light of the court ruling, to proceed immediately with her placement in a permanent position with retroactive effect from the date of her appointment.
It should be noted that the Council of Ministers, at an extraordinary meeting on June 22, decided to recommend to the Public Service Commission (EDY) that Ms. Aristotelous be placed on administrative leave once again.
