In recent hours, Attorney General George Savvidis has received the findings of independent criminal investigator Andreas Paschalidis regarding the infamous video, which was posted last January on Platform X and allegedly reveals cases of corruption and collusion, with “starring” close associates of President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides.

Based on the timeline set by the Attorney General and the extensions granted, July 20, 2026, is the deadline for completing the investigations, the submission of the findings, and the issuance of a statement by the independent criminal investigator, whose work was assisted by police investigators.
According to reports, the Videogate case will be reviewed and evaluated by the Legal Service, which will then issue instructions on how to proceed.
As reported by Alpha Cyprus, the independent criminal investigator may issue a statement today containing a summary of the findings.

Mr. Paschalidis’s investigations were conducted both inside and outside Cyprus, as an Israeli company announced after the video was made public that it had undertaken its production itself, without disclosing any information about who had commissioned it.
