The Limassol Police Department has set up a special investigative team to look into the causes and circumstances of the bomb attack that took place around 3:30 a.m. todayoutside a cultural center in Limassol, causing damage to the building and a parked vehicle.

Limassol Assistant Police Director Lefteris Kyriakou reported that on-site examinations by members of the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department determined that the explosion was caused by the detonation ofhandmade metal object containing a low-yield explosive.

Authorities have already taken statements from the business’s new managers, as the management has recently changed, and the content of these statements is being evaluated by investigators.

The premises were not open at the time of the explosion, and the authorities’ investigation is expanding, given that the building houses the offices of EDON Limassol.
