And dust on the “menu”—when and where will the rain come?

The temperature is dropping
ALPHANEWSLIVE

A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region. Starting tomorrow, there may be some fine dust suspended in the air.

Tonight, the weather will remain generally clear, though there will be a gradual increase in low cloud cover, mainly along the coast but also in inland areas. Later on and during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form in some areas, mainly in the east and inland. Winds will gradually become light, blowing from the downwind direction at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will remain calm to slightly choppy. Temperatures will drop to around 20 degrees inland, around 22 degrees on the coast, and around 18 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

Tomorrow, after the morning’s local low cloud cover and light fog or mist clear, the weather in most parts of the island will become mostly sunny with occasional cloudiness. However, around noon and afterward, clouds developing mainly in the mountainous areas may bring isolated showers. Winds will initially be variable, light, 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily strong along the windward coasts, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will initially be generally calm to slightly rough, but will gradually become slightly rough along the windward coasts. Temperatures will rise to around 37 degrees inland, around 31 degrees on the western and northern coasts, around 33 degrees along the rest of the coast, and around 28 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

Tomorrow night, the weather will initially be mostly clear, but gradually there will be increased high clouds and, in some areas, low clouds. Winds will weaken and gradually become downslope, light, at 3 Beaufort. The sea in the south and east will be calm to slightly rough, but in the west and north it will remain slightly rough.

On Tuesday, there will be periods of increased high cloud cover, while clouds developing after noon are expected to bring isolated showers, and the possibility of isolated brief thunderstorms cannot be ruled out, mainly in the mountains but also in areas southeast of the Troodos Mountains.

On Wednesday, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with temporarily increased cloud cover; however, clouds developing after noon are expected to bring isolated showers or even an isolated thunderstorm, mainly in mountainous areas but also in regions southeast of the Troodos Mountains. On Thursday, the weather will remain generally clear in most areas, however, after noon, clouds will develop, bringing isolated showers or even isolated thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and inland areas.

Temperatures will gradually drop through Thursday and will hover near seasonal averages.
