A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region. Tonight, the weather will continue to be mostly clear, though there will be a gradual increase in low cloud cover, mainly along the coast but also in inland areas. Later, during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form, mainly in the east and inland. Winds will gradually become downslope, light, at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will remain calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to around 19 degrees in inland and mountainous areas and around 21 degrees along the coast.

Tomorrow, after the morning’s local low cloud cover and light fog or mist clear, the weather in most parts of the island will be mostly clear with occasional cloudiness. However, around noon and afterward, clouds developing in the mountains may bring isolated showers. Winds will initially be variable, light, 3 Beaufort, before gradually shifting to mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily along the windward coasts up to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 37 degrees inland, around 31 on the western coast, around 33 on the rest of the coast, and around 29 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

Tomorrow night, the weather will be generally clear, though there will be a gradual increase in low cloud cover, mainly along the coast but also in inland areas. Later, during the early morning hours, patchy fog or mist is expected to form in some areas, mainly in the east and inland. Winds will gradually become light, blowing from the south at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough.

On Monday and Tuesday, the weather will be generally clear with occasional increased cloud cover. There may be some light dust in the air. On Wednesday, the weather will remain generally mostly clear with occasional increased cloud cover.

Temperatures will gradually drop through Wednesday, settling near the seasonal average.

The highest temperature recorded today was 38 degrees Celsius in Nicosia.
