A 35-year-old Greek Cypriot has been placed in eight-day detention in connection with the brutal attack on delivery workers that took place in the Muttalos area of Paphos, while authorities are still searching for another suspect.
As reported by Alpha TV’s Paphos correspondent, Kostas Nanos, on the station’s main newscast, according to reports, the authorities have identified a second individual against whom an arrest warrant has been issued.
At the same time, efforts are underway to identify eight more individuals who are alleged to have been involved in the incident.
It is recalled that, according to the evidence under review, at around 8:40 p.m., a 26-year-old food delivery driver went to the Mouttalos area to deliver a food order.
Upon his arrival at the delivery location, an unknown man, who was accompanied by three other individuals, refused to pay for the order and then attacked the 26-year-old by throwing a rock at him.

The 26-year-old alerted other delivery drivers, who went to the scene, while at the same time, about ten unknown men arrived in the area, some of whom were reportedly carrying metal objects.
The unknown men attacked the delivery drivers, while also knocking their motorcycles to the ground and damaging them.
Subsequently, four of the suspects drove off in their vehicle and headed toward Mouttalo, where they encountered a 22-year-old delivery driver who had just completed a delivery.
Three of the suspects got out of the vehicle, attacked him, managed to steal a sum of money and his cell phone, and then fled the area in an unknown direction.
Five delivery drivers were injured in the incident and were transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital. After being examined by the on-duty physician, it was determined that they had sustained various injuries. Four were discharged, while one remained hospitalized for further treatment.
