A seasonal low-pressure system is affecting the region.
Today, after the local low-level cloud cover and light fog clear, the weather will become mostly clear; however, in the afternoon, there will be temporary increases in cloud cover in the mountainous areas. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly and initially locally variable, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and later locally strong in the south, 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to 39 degrees inland, around 31 degrees in the southeast and on the eastern coasts, 35 degrees on the northern coasts, and around 30 degrees on the rest of the coasts as well as in the higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will be mostly clear, though locally along the western coast, there will be temporary patches of low cloud cover. Later, during the early morning hours, increased low cloud cover and patchy fog or mist are expected to form locally, mainly in the eastern half of the island. Winds will be mainly southwesterly to northwesterly and locally variable, light at 3 Beaufort and initially locally up to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 21 degrees inland, around 23 degrees along the coast, and 19 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.
On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, clouds developing at midday and in the afternoon are expected to bring isolated showers or thunderstorms in the mountains and inland.
Temperatures will gradually drop through Monday, mainly in the mountains and inland, to hover slightly below average, while no significant change is expected on Tuesday.
