A vehicle caught fire shortly after midnight, prompting the Fire Department to respond.
According to the fire department, a call was received around 12:40 a.m. reporting a fire in a vehicle that was parked outside the owner’s home, in the community of Xylofagos in the Famagusta district.

Firefighters rushed to the scene immediately and extinguished the fire, which caused damage to the vehicle’s engine compartment.
According to the Fire Department, the fire appears to have been caused by an electrical or mechanical malfunction.
