An alarm was triggered at Larnaca Airport at noon on Friday (10/23), after a large quantity of drugs was discovered in the luggage of a young foreign national who arrived in Cyprus from Thailand via Dubai.
According to reports, the 19-year-old, who holds a British passport, traveled from Thailand with a layover in Dubai and arrived at Larnaca Airport.

During an inspection of his luggage by the Customs Department, he was found to be in possession of two suitcases weighing 20 kilograms each, which were found to contain a total of 26 kilograms of cannabis.
The 19-year-old was arrested by the Drug Enforcement Agency (YKAN).
