For the past half a year, the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Youth Organization has been incomplete and, as a result, unable to make decisions or function normally.
Speaking on the Alpha Summer program, ONEK President Konstantina Achilleos explained that for about six months now, the Cyprus Youth Organization has lacked a quorum on itssince three of its members resigned.

Ms. Achilleos stated that, as a result, the Organization’s highest governing body cannot function, meaning that contracts and grants cannot be processed or implemented.
When asked why the three members of the Ministerial Committee were not immediately appointed and replaced, she replied that she has no official information.
She emphasized that the President of the Republic, the Minister of Education, and the Cabinet must immediately appoint the three remaining members so that the Organization can function normally.
He notes that August 12 is International Youth Day and that we should be discussing the opportunities available to young people.
