The alert at Nicosia Mall and KEMA was lifted after threatening messages were received, with nothing suspicious found.
Authorities were mobilized around 6:00 p.m. after receiving specific emails claiming that explosive devices had been planted at Nicosia Mall and KEMA in Nicosia.
According to what Kleio Vourkou reported on Alpha TV’s main news broadcast, the sender of the message claimed his name was “David” and even provided his alleged cell phone number. The content of the message was quite difficult to understand.

Following the authorities’ previous emergency update regarding the receipt of threatening messages concerning the Nicosia Mall and KEMA in Nicosia, the Police announced shortly after 9:00 p.m. that the investigations and inspections carried out have been completed.
Based on the examinations and investigations conducted so far, nothing suspicious or cause for concern has been found.

In addition to the locations mentioned above, threatening messages were sent to both the Mall of Cyprus in Nicosia and the Kings Avenue Mall in Paphos, as well as to other locations. All reports were examined by the police, and following investigations, nothing suspicious was found.
Police officers continue to evaluate all the evidence before them, while investigations to fully clarify the matter are ongoing.
The police thank the public for their cooperation and understanding during the precautionary measures that were taken.
